About Josephine & Billie's

Josephine & Billie's is a speakeasy style shop inspired by the tea pads of the 1920s and 30s, named for Josephine Baker and Billie Holiday. Founders Whitney Beatty and Ebony Andersen opened it in October 2021 as a shop built by and for women of color.

The walls teach as much as they sell, with guides on reading labels and why plant type labels do not tell the whole story. The shelves favor Black, Brown, queer and women owned brands, with price points for beginners and regulars.
